 
Vision Forum’s friends and customer base were targeted in November and December 2006 by an anonymous source that generated two e-mails containing defamatory material which gave the impression that the e-mails were generated by Vision Forum itself. Those who opened the e-mails were exposed to a well-orchestrated vengeance attack, including a hit piece targeting Vision Forum president Doug Phillips, his wife Beall, and the men and women of the local church he attends. The e-mail directed individuals to a web site that contained vicious and untruthful articles.
Later, a third e-mail was sent from another anonymous source, but pointing back to the same Internet web site. The e-mails (and related Internet articles) contained more vicious and defamatory commentary. The same individuals were the source of all three hit pieces.
A fourth hit piece was launched the fourth week of December. This e-mail targeted Doug Phillips’ brother, Brad Phillips, and linked to yet another anonymous article. In an effort to discredit the Phillips family, this anonymous article libeled this godly Christian missionary to the Sudan in the most despicable manner.
The site and the individuals involved in the conspiracy are currently under investigation for fraud and other unlawful and possibly criminal behavior.
Because some of the content of the e-mails goes beyond the scope and the jurisdiction of The Vision Forum, Inc., we are providing links to those appropriate authorities with jurisdiction to speak to those issues. We are also linking to some outside investigative reports. In the case of the falsehoods being disseminated concerning The Vision Forum, Inc.’s film, Raising the Allosaur we have provided a brief comment for the present, along with a link to an important statement by Attorney Ed Watt.
