When I was a boy, Thanksgiving was my favorite day of the year, a day when family and friends would meet around the harvest table and remember the blessings of God. Sadly, for many Americans, our national day of Thanksgiving has turned into a mere turkey day. Our children have forgotten the meaning of true gratitude, in part because as parents, we have removed the ancient landmarks, those testimonies of Gods mercy and providence, for which all Americans should be profoundly thankful. At Vision Forum, we believe the time has come to reverse this trend.
As a special offer, we are pleased to make available our Thanksgiving Collection, which includes three books designed to inspire the Christian family and motivate the little pilgrims around your Thanksgiving dinner table.
First, Governor William Bradfords Of Plymouth Plantation one of the five most important books in my personal library because it is the story of faithful Christian parents who were willing to risk everything for the hope of establishing a multigenerational legacy of freedom. Second, The Thanksgiving Primer a resource with a wealth of ideas for an authentic Thanksgiving with its wonderful collection of historical anecdotes, psalms, table menus, and customs employed by the original Pilgrims at their harvest table. Third, Plymouth in the Words of Her Founders a well-documented overview of the monuments and sites of Americas spiritual birthplace in the words of the founders of Plymouth and America themselves.
