We have to have the foundations laid and understand the Biblical principles for building a godly family, but then it really helps to see good examples. Just like Paul said in Philippians 3:17, ‘Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern,’ it helps us to see how other families apply those Biblical principles in every day life. Of course, every family is unique and will work out the practical details of life according to the needs of their own family, but observing others can sharpen us and give us creative solutions that we never thought of.
