The last verse of the Old Testament, and the New Testament scripture heralding the coming of John the Baptist, boldly proclaim that, with the advent of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit would revive the relationships of parents and children to make ready a people prepared for the Lord, lest the land be struck with a curse. Two thousand years later, this principle of Holy Spirit revival remains true with those whose hearts are turned to their Heavenly Father. Because we love the Heavenly Father, we honor His command to love and honor our earthly fathers and sons, realizing that we (though sin-stained, imperfect, and flawed in the extreme) are commanded to press towards the never-fully-attainable goal of modeling for our sons the type of love that God has for His Son. This principle is true in our role as sons: We are to love and honor our fathers, in the same spirit of perfect love which the eternal Son of God has ever demonstrated.

The above picture is of Kathleen Turley and son Justin of the Kevin Turley family. God has done a beautiful work of revival and reformation in this family. The renewed vision of love and service between mother and son is but one example. We thank the Lord for the Turleys — just one of the precious families with whom we at the Vision Forum are privileged to co-labor.
