Every morning for nearly four months, a very special eight-year-old girl has greeted with a kiss and an excited report about the status of her garden, the size of the buds, vegetables, and flowers on the plants. Liberty loves to watch her garden grow. I love to watch Liberty loving to watch her garden grow.

I am so happy for my daughter because she is so happy cultivating life. (I truly hurt for her the other morning when she woke and found her garden ravaged by the rapacious critters of the woods.) Is it possible that the joy we feel as earthly fathers watching our own garden-tending children is a picture of the joy our Heavenly Father feels with us when we delight to honor His command to be fruitful in our lives? I think so.

To encourage my garden-loving daughters, the men of the Phillips household decided to build a greenhouse for the girls (and the boys, too). With the expert help of our beloved comrade Peter Bradrick, the vision is being transformed from idea into reality.

Almost there!
