Today's Radio Discussion on Biblical Fatherhood and the 'P' Word

Personal thanks to radio network owner and talk show host Stu Epperson, Jr. for inviting me to broadcast a special live dialogue today on the biblical doctrine of fatherhood. The broadcast, which lasted an hour and featured call-ins, was transmitted through seven stations on the east coast. The central theme of the show was the hope of biblical fatherhood. We discussed the fact that, despite the broad assault on the historic, Christian view of fatherhood within the broader American culture, God is sparking a beautiful revival of biblical manhood where the hearts of parents are turning to their children and the ancient and culturally transcendent vision of biblical patriarchy is becoming a reality for thousands of Christians. Stu correctly observed that the greatest persecution against families with a vision for biblical fatherhood and a patriarchal multi-generational mission often comes not from the humanists themselves, but feminized clerics who can tolerate nearly any theological perspective, except one which requires them to think and act biblically, and thus differently from the world. On a personal note, I was enormously touched by the callers and guests, each of whom offered personal testimonies of the way the ministry of Vision Forum had blessed their families. Thank God for courageous talk show hosts and for grateful brothers and sisters.
