The Fifth Commandment is Explained and Proclaimed Aboard the U.S.S. Missouri

Thirty years ago, I was a ten-year-old boy spending the day with Mrs. Douglas MacArthur and men who had served aboard the U.S.S. Missouri when the treaty ending the Second World War was signed. Last week, I had the great honor of sharing a few words aboard the U.S.S. Missouri (now docked at Pearl Harbor) on the meaning of the Fifth Commandment to a diverse audience, including the Rear Admiral of the Pacific fleet. It was a deeply meaningful, glorious evening which was capped by a premiere of the film The League of Grateful Sons aboard the very ship which brought closure to the Second World War. I am so grateful to the Lord for this unforgettable opportunity and experience. Deep, abiding thanks to the Logan family for their vision in sponsoring this once-in-a-lifetime event.
