In my blog entry above, “Breaking News: ‘I Feel Betrayed,’” the son-in-law of one of the missionaries murdered on the beach explains both his disapproval of the ethics of Every Tribe Entertainment, as well as the fact that his family was not consulted or appraised of the decision to hire a homosexual activist for the lead role. Below is a judiciously worded comment from Elisabeth Elliot affirming her own non-involvement in the process and the fact that their family has not seen the film.

We have received some questions concerning the new film End of the Spear. This is not a film based on Through Gates of Splendor, Elisabeth’s book about the five missionaries.
