Entrepreneurial Bootcamp for Christian Families

The Bible offers patterns and principles of family life that point to the great potential of the family as a centerpiece for education, daily worship, hospitality, evangelism, culture, multigenerational care and industry. In the modern world of working wives, child prevention, government school-educated children, t.v dinner family culture and absentee families, the blessings and hope of an industrious, unified household may seem remote and unattainable. What is needed is that we transcend patterns of thinking and living derived from the modern feminist and statist paradigm for success, and “return to the ancient paths” wherein there is hope and life. These ancient paths are powerful because their truths are transcendent, timely and relevant to our present misguided generation. One such “path” involves the importance of industry, character, integrity, creativity and entrepreneurial vision for the Christian family. At Vision Forum, we believe the time has come to think long and hard about how Christian families can develop intelligent, practical and generational visions for cultivating industry and entrepreneurship with our sons and daughters.

On August 10-12, 2006, Vision Forum Ministries is pleased to be hosting the first-ever Entrepreneurial Bootcamp for Christian Families at the Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. The mission: To cast a vision for entrepreneurship that highlights the testimony of independent businessmen who embrace biblical principles and include their families in their work. This three-day innovative training academy will equip families with an entrepreneurial vision which includes freedom in Christ, dominion, and multi-generational faithfulness.

During the bootcamp, we will discuss multiple business models that both honor biblical principles and involve fathers walking beside and training their sons and daughters to support the economic enterprise of the family. We will also explore how families can participate in skill- and wealth-building that can be carried on to future generations. Featured speakers will include Jim Sammons, Joel Salatin, Dr. James Leininger, Doug Phillips, Arnold Pent, Scott Brown, Nick Logan, Wade Myers, Geoff Botkin, and Don Hart.
