Harry Potter and the Barna Group

Over the years, Vision Forum has taken a stand on a host of unpopular issues, from the sin of women at war, to the necessity that the state acknowledge God, to the need for a return to biblical patriarchy, to the sufficiency of Scripture on the question of child prevention (as well as its sufficiency on all issues), to the problem with hiring sodomite activists to play lead roles in gospel films (i.e., The End of the Spear), to the need for a reformed and presuppositionally biblical approach to culture, including our view of film and literature. As to this last point, my article “Harry Potter and the Lavender Brigade,” generated a tremendous amount of positive and negative response.

Now the Barna Group’s new report, “Harry Potter’s Influence Goes Unchallenged in Most Homes,” exposes the ongoing surrender of the Christian community to pagan culture, and our junkie-like addiction to fantasy laced with occult and pagan themes.
