A Grateful Descendant of Jamestown Christians

Dear Sir:

I am an 80-year-old native of Virginia, misplaced in Montana, and I was thrilled to read about the celebration in Jamestown in June. My ancestors arrived in Jamestown during the early years of the 1600’s, something that I am very proud of, and I wish you a very successful Celebration.

I remember when I was young, my parents and grandparents, took me to Jamestown many times. In those days the only thing to see was the ruins of the church, but my grandfather told us the stories of our ancestors. One of my ancestors was Rev. Haute Wyatt, the minister at Jamestown. My grandfather was a history buff and he spent hours telling us history of the area. His many great grandfather was Christopher Woodward.

Will there be a video of the Celebration? I hope so as I would love a copy.

Sincerely, Martha R.

Dear Martha, we are seeking the Lord to put the funds together this very week so that we can have a nicely produced, television quality documentary on the Jamestown Quadircentennial. At this point we have completed what I believe to be an outstanding thirty-minute television documentary which is scheduled to run on national cable television next month. I will have more information on this in the near future. Thanks for asking and thanks for the tremendous story of your personal link to Jamestown and America’s birthday. God has given you a wonderful heritage to remember.
