Samuel Adams is called the father of the American Revolution. However, today he is known as a rebel, trouble maker, and seditious individual who lit the match of war over minor issues like taxes. But Adams and his friends were Calvinists. They were ardent students of the Scriptures, and believed in the Sovereignty of God, sinful nature of man, and the jurisdictional separation of church and state.
