V ision Forum is pleased to announce our upcoming internships for 2009. The internships — which emphasize biblical manhood, practical business skills, and preparation for Christian leadership — are available to Christian, home-educated young men who possess a servant’s spirit, a teachable heart, and a desire to work hard serving a ministry devoted to the restoration of the Christian family.
General Track Internship
Vision Forum will be accepting applications for its general track internship to run for approximately six months — August 3, 2009, through January 29, 2010. Our general track exposes interns to a wide range of opportunities to serve the Lord with us at Vision Forum. Interns in the general track will typically experience a rotating schedule through a variety of business operations. Interns may also be assigned special research projects and receive additional time in classes and training. A small monthly stipend will be granted to accepted applicants to assist with basic living expenses. Application deadline is May 15, 2009. Commendations from Former Interns
Looking back on the months spent in San Antonio with Vision Forum, my mind is
filled with gratitude. This has truly been a life-changing experience, not solely due to the
hours of classroom time and the Godly instruction, but also for the relationships that
were started and the experiences we shared. This internship taught me not only how to
think in accordance to the Word of God and seek to take every thought captive, but also
gave me a taste of the battle that we as Christians are continually engaged it. If you
want to be stretched, molded, grown, meet important people, build relationships, and be
on the front lines holding up the arms of those who have dedicated their lives to the
reformation of the family and the turning of the hearts of the father to the home, this is
the internship for you.
— Brantley Disheroon, Class of 2009, General Track
The Vision Forum internship provided an excellent opportunity that stretched and challenged me in many areas of life. Three aspects of the internship that I have found to be to be immensely valuable were the lectures given by Mr. Phillips and other men, the practical business experience gained, and the building of relationships with the families in San Antonio. Lecture topics have ranged from presuppositional apologetics, Biblical principles of government, literal twenty-four hour, six-day creationism, and reformed theology. In regards to the business training I have received, I enjoyed the opportunity to explain the positions and message of Vision Forum on a daily basis through assisting their Customer Service department. I was also able to cultivate many friendships with local families when visiting their homes for meals and edifying discussions, and by helping them overcome challenging projects at their homes on Saturdays. Interning with Vision Forum will stretch you to your limits physically and mentally and requires perseverance, flexibility, sacrifice, and focus at all times and places. If you desire to make an impact for God’s glory, then I would recommend the Vision Forum Internship. — Noah Woodruff, Class of 2009, General Track
